Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By using BoardLedger's board portal ("the Service") you accept these terms of service. If you do not accept the terms, please refrain from using the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Omega Software Group AB.
2. Description of the service
BoardLedger is a digital board portal that offers tools for:
- Managing board meetings and agendas
- Creating and signing minutes
- Document management and archiving
- Task management and decision follow-up
- Communication between board members
3. User accounts
To use the Service you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have a guardian's consent
- Provide accurate and complete information at registration
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Upload malicious code, viruses or other harmful software
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or networks
- Disrupt or overload the Service's infrastructure
- Use the Service for spam or unsolicited marketing
- Infringe others' intellectual property rights
5. Content and ownership
You retain all rights to content you upload to the Service. By uploading content you grant BoardLedger a limited licence to store, display and process the content for the purpose of providing the Service.
BoardLedger owns all rights to the Service's design, code, trademarks and other intellectual property.
6. Subscription and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. By taking out a subscription:
- You agree to pay the fees stated at the time of purchase
- You confirm that the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled
- You accept that prices may change with 30 days' notice
A refund may be granted within 14 days of purchase if the Service has not been actively used.
7. Termination
You can cancel your account at any time via your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in the event of serious breaches.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". BoardLedger is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data caused by circumstances beyond our control
- Service interruptions due to maintenance or technical issues
- Third-party services integrated into the platform
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service during the past 12 months.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or through a notice in the Service at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation. If this fails, the dispute shall be settled by a Swedish general court in the locality where the company has its registered office.
